Diet Mayo Pasti Bisa!

Kalau Sabtu sama Minggu gimana? Masa ga boleh cheating dikit? Jawabnya adalah: GA BOLEH *galak*

Kalo cheat ulang lagi dari awal - gw sih ogah - walhasil selama dua weekend saya berhasil menemani orang-orang makan enak, mulai dari bento, sushi, nasi padang, chees chicken, kwetiau goreng, es duren, junk food, puas... saya liatin doang. #sayasetrong

Nah, ketika habis selesai 13 hari diet gimana dong jaga pola makannya? Katanya sih.. katanya... kalo bisa malam makan paling lama jam enam sore dan ga usah banyak2 pula. Toh malam hari kita tidak butuh asupan kalori sebanyak ketika pagi/siang. Itu sih yang saya denger. Boleh lah cari sumber yang lebih terpercaya.

Saya sendiri turun sekitar empat kilo setelah 13 hari diet mayo- plus efek samping wajah saya yang biasanya gampang jerawatan, jadi lumayan bersih.

Ya wajar lah ya, namanya dari porsi dikekang, lalu pelan-pelan porsi kembali normal, walaupun porsi makannya belum sebanyak sebelum diet mayo ya. Maunya sih ga usah makan banyak-banyak lagi. Jauhkan diri dari cemilan :D
Jadi menurut saya apakah diet ini patut dicoba? Rekomen banget- kalo istilah kecenya  “Sometimes the most scenic roads in life are the detours you didn't mean to take” , bukan sekedar buat nurunin berat badan, tapi lebih ke mendisiplinkan diri kita, dan membentuk pola makan kita.
(Oke, quotenya emang maksa, tapi saya suka quote-quote-an jadi kudu dimasukin di atas)

You are what you eat - ini bener banget. Jadi man teman, mari kita lebih bijaksana dalam memilih makanan yak :)

Time After Time

Listening to Rod Stewart's "Time after time",
is as if i was watching the final scene of a romantic comedy movie. A happy ending one of course. A montage of a relationship from the beginning until they main characters tying the knot.

What good are words I say to you?
They can't convey to you what's in my heart
If you could hear instead
The things I've left unsaid

Time after time
I tell myself that I'm
So lucky to be loving you

So lucky to be
The one you run to see
In the evening, when the day is through

I only know what I know
The passing years will show
You've kept my love so young, so new

And time after time
You'll hear me say that I'm
So lucky to be loving you

I only know what I know
The passing years will show
You've kept my love so young, so new

And time after time
You'll hear me say that I'm
So lucky to be loving you
Lucky to be loving you

* This is what happens when you get carried away after attending your friends wedding :D

D-rama

There is this one Korean Drama that everyone's keep talking about right now. It's called "Descendants of the Sun". Girls love it, it's very popular - not only on my Path timeline, but you can google some articles about how popular the series worldwide.

Since some of the people on my social media started to talk about it, of course it makes me curious about the phenomenon. I don’t really follow the K-Pop or K drama to be honest. I think Lee Min Ho is the only name I can recall right now if you asked me the name of the Korean star that I know – thanks to Luwak White Coffee. So I was wondering, what makes this soldier - doctor love story so famous and makes everyone keep buzzing about it each time the new episodes air? I asked one of my friend who’s keen about this drama, "Should I watch this drama too?"

She answered,” No, don’t. You’ll get too carried away (Baper – bawa perasaan) once you watched this drama.”

But then, just like most of us do when we are told not to… I did watch the drama.
I watched it the first time last month during Nyepi holiday. The next day, I confessed to my colleague and said, “I have led myself into temptation, now I’m gonna have to watch until the final episode”

So there it is, 16 hours of drama later, I finally finished watching the 16 episodes of it. The story made me laugh, cry, feeling loved, feeling the tension and suspense on each different scene. It has a good back story plus beautiful Greece scenery. What’s there not to love? You can find many online streaming links to watch it.
But does it really makes me too carried away?
Luckily, I have passed that moment of being too carried away by drama series. ‘Meteor Garden’ in 2001 has made that damage to me before. *smirk smile

How I Spend mah Money

This is how I spend my money lately- beli lipstik!

Perasaan lipstik warnanya sama-sama aja, kalo ga merah, ya pink.

Niatnya pake banget kalo review.

* Brink: warna nude orange. cakep buat sehari-hari

Yang paling kiri Colourpop Ultra Matte in Bumble, yang tengah Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit, dan yang paling kanan Bourjois Rouge Velvet edition in Nude-ist.

Birthday Suit: warna nude pink. Butuh usaha ekstra juga untuk memberihkannya pake make up remover

Kebanyakan online shop-pun menjual dengan harga kisaran IDR200rb-an.

Kiri kanan - Makeover Ultra High Matte in Champagne Rose - Loreal Color Riche Intense in Viva Red and Touch of Amaranth dan Wet n Wild in Cherry Bomb.
* Champagne Rose: Warna pink orange yang cakep (oke deskripsinya subjektif sih ya). Tapi warnanya emang bikin wajah cerah.

* Viva Red : warna merah cabe.

* Touch of Amaranth: warna pink fuschia.

* Cherry Bomb: seperti namanya, warnanya mirip warna cherry. Kalau saya pakai, kadang saya merasa seperti 'abis makan orok' haha. Bibir jadi gelap dan penuh misteri (halah), makanya biasa saya ga berani langsung pake lipstik ini tanpa dicampur. Saya selalu pake Viva Red dulu, baru deh ditambah sama Cherry Bomb. Jadi deh warna merah marun yang mevvah!

Pesan penutup dari saya, life is short to only wear the same color (of lipstick) everyday *racun tapi bener*. Jadi jangan terlalu bimbang dan kelamaan mikir kalau mau beli lipstik- biasa ujung2nya ga jadi beli wkwkwk. Baca review seperlunya aja.

Ciao!

KFC

What is love?
You can google the definition of 'love' and find many answers to it.

I believe that each of us have been encountered with love. From a simple form such as "I love this song, I just don't know why, it speaks to me", til the complicated one such as "I love you til death do us part". Love does grow and it's all beautiful and yet most of the time it is dangerous once you are blinded by it. It makes you questioned your rationality sometimes and most of the time we let our emotion wins over rationality.

As I developed my knowledge as an adult, I've come to understand that love comes with a great responsibility. I'm talking about the love relation between people (not to confused with my love to KFC). Take some time to reflect about your relationship with your partner, parents, children, friends, colleagues. When you say you love them, it means that you are care enough about them just as much as you care about yourself. You wanted them to have at least the same amount of joy and happiness you had. Their happiness is the same as important as yours and often at some point, you forgot about yours and put them in the first place - and there it goes... the pain of loving when sometimes in the process you forgot about loving yourself too.

Love is a process. A process to a better understanding about yourself and others. Love is universal and can be found everywhere. Love is you, opening up yourself to others and to be care enough with each other.

Happy Valentine's Day!

The Year of Monkey!

I just spent 10 minutes browsing on the internet about Rabbit zodiac's luck this year. haha..
Anyway Happy Chinese New Year! It's the time of the year again where you gather with family and friends, sharing what's been going on for the past year and sharing your plans and hopes for this coming year. Well, it sounded like a 'regular' new year gathering, but in my family, Chinese new year is more celebrated and anticipated than the new year marked by Gregorian Calendar.

Anyway I heard that this year is gonna be a relatively good year for Rabbit. (Yeay me! and you, if you happened to be born in the year of Rabbit too). I was only focus on the positive, I don't want to read the bad fortune haha. So isn't great to have a positive spirit on this Monkey year? Maybe I can start over on my Gregorian Calendar new year's resolution. haha.

So this year I am still given hong bao by my families - some of them are around my age and they already have babies- . Sometimes it feels weird because I'm 29 this year and people who gave me hong bao also gave their hong bao to my one and three years old nieces :/ meh. -but I still keep their hong bao anyway - (come on guys, in this kind of economic situation, how can you say no? :p)

Once again, Happy Chinese New Year!
You can google those han zi if you dont know what it means - or ask Mark Zuckerberg (d*mn he's good at Chinese!)

Book Selection

It has been more than 6 months since I read the book: Selection by Kiera Cass. I bought it for Lebaran holiday and it turns out that lebaran holiday isn't long enough to me to finish one book. (read: lazy me)

327 pages and 24 weeks later

So I'm pushing myself to finish reading this book on the year end holiday and now I am proud to say that I've finished reading this book. (it's not a smtg to be proud of actually haha) Well, it shouldn't be that hard to finish this book because it's has a 'light' theme. Teenage love story with a princess-to-be dreams (Guweh banget - like say, fifteen years ago). Will I read the second and third novel? Hmm.. I think I'm gonna skip those novels.

Maybe someday they will make a movie based on this novel series like Twilight or 50 Shades of Grey. I'm trying to hold my tongue (or keyboard in this case) about those novel adapted movies. I'm afraid something very mean will come out *wink.

Just like Twilight series, no matter how awful the movies are (I'm a fan but it is really awful haha), there's a guilty pleasure for you to watch all the movies. In fact, today I just heard on a radio, a song from Twilight soundtrack played that somehow reminded me about the scenes on Twilight movies. It think that it will happen the same way for this book -if they were ever made a movie about it.

As for me, I think I'm gonna need a better book selection to read this year too :)

Oh anyway this is the song from the Twilight movie that I heard earlier. It was a pretty song that will make you swoon every time you hear it. This one should be on your wedding playlist. Cheers!

The 'Hit Pan'

For anyone whose not familiar with the hit pan term, here is the definition:
Hitting pan is a term used with make-up. It happens when product starts to run out and you can see the bottom of the container. Applies to shadows, blushes, and powders.

So clearly you gotta really love this product and use is many times in your life and you just can't imagine that there's another product that can replace the memories you had with it. HAHA
I started to learn to use make up when I had my first job. It was an eyeliner introduced by my colleague. And then learning to use the proper make up continues til today.

For anyone who is keen on make up. They must have heard about Urban Decay Naked Palette. It says to be the holy grail for every make up artist and to be on every make up junkie wish list. I don't think that the review about the palette is overrated. I tried several brands of eyeshadow and so far it is the best color and most wearable that I had. Therefore I present you the 'Hit Pan' of my Naked Palette - well, it's only on the highlighter color only.
Ta-da!

It's been four years since I bought this palette and I think two years is the shelf life of an eye shadow. But this one I think I'm gonna keep till all of the colors hitting pan - hopefully not any damage will happen to my skin HAHAHA. Just kidding. There will be times when I would have to say goodbye to it (and buy a new one :p). A good make up is a good investment anyway!

A Note from Unhappy Customer

Saya (S): Mas, mau ambil jam tangan. Ini bon-nya
Karyawan (K): Oke sebentar mbak. *dia buka logbook manual dia.
S: Udah selesai mas jam-nya?
K: Udah nih mbak. *sambil liat catatan di logbooknya
S: Dari tanggal berapa mas? Kok saya ga dihubungin? *mulai cranky
K: Ini dari tanggal 23 November mbak. Udah ditelponin tapi ga diangkat.
K: Di sini semua emang kalo ditelpon satu kali doang sih mbak. Tapi berkali-kali.

I am one unhappy customer :(

Dear "Tidak diangkat", coba deh kenalan sama "Coba Lagi"

Hello

Have you seen Adele's new music video "Hello"?
Hellowww... if you haven't then you have to see it.
For some people, they might be focusing on how beautiful the song is, or questioning about the flip phone used in that video. As for me, my focus would be on how flawless her make up is! Ah... look at those precise eye liner and the contouring on face. To d i e for!

Yummy for Tummy: Fook Yew

Have you been to Shanghai? If you've been there before, perhaps you can tell me whether this Shanghai inspired restaurant is as good as the real Shanghai food.

Me? Nope I've never been to Shanghai before. So I have no idea on what Shanghai food tastes like. So when I first saw Fook Yew at Gandaria City, I have no expectation or comparison about things that I'm about to eat and order. I just asked the waitress on their most recommended items, and the word "sheng jian" came out of the waitress' mouth. Okay! I believe you, fuwuyuan!

According to the magical Wikipedia, sheng jian is  "a type of small, pan-fried baozi (steamed buns) which is a specialty of Shanghai. It is usually filled with pork and gelatin that melts into soup/liquid when cooked."
Of course in this restaurant you won't find the pork-y one. hahaha.

clockwise: baked tomato rice, colorful dumplings, sheng jian, fish with rice krispy

As for the beverages, I was interested with the alcoholic bubble tea. For this one I'm not sure that they sell it on the streets of Shanghai. They named the bubble tea with unique names such as "the shiny rat", "the dancing pig", or "the gummy rooster". The alcoholic beverages was named after the twelve Chinese zodiac.

The restaurant's design. So cute!

Overall the restaurant design is really cute, and the menu are designed attractively. You would want to order all of them if you had unlimited money and space in your tummy. As for the food taste, I think the food tasted 'just okay' :) But hey.. You need to taste it for yourself before you can make a judgement, don't ya?

Sipping my alcoholic bubble tea *CHEERS!*,

Beijing or Jakarta: 爱你没差- Love you, no matter what (PART 2)

This is the second part regarding Jay Chou's concert. The first one can be seen in here. So as I mentioned earlier on the first part of this post. I'm going to write about my experience watching Jay Chou's concert. This is his second concert I've been to in my life, and it's happening with only twenty weeks time difference. How could that possible? Only God knows why.

I was really sure, with my limited thought and faith (haha) that Jay Chou will never had a concert in Jakarta. That's why I was willing to watch the concert alone in Beijing (which I never regret). So when my sister said that Jay Chou was going to held a concert in Jakarta. I was like in my own thought: "no sh*t r u kiddin' me!"  - kids please don't curse like this in front of your parents-. What I thought was impossible, turns out to be possible. You just gotta have a little faith and then viola! God will let Jay Chou performing in the city where you lives. Amen! I think my sister did pray a lot for Jay to come to Jakarta :p

I was just coming back from Beijing this early July and then my sister told me about the news. She was super excited to buy the pre-sale ticket from Jay Chou's fans club, while me.. I have to admit that I wasn't as excited as the first time I want to watch his concert. Maybe if I can describe what's inside my head it, it would be "okay. Jay Chou's coming to Jakarta.", while my sister was like: " O MY GOD JAY CHOU'S COMING TO JAKARTA!!! WHERE CAN I GET THE TICKET? WHERE WHERE? WHEN? HOW TO? O MY GOD PLEASE LET THIS NEWS BE TRUE AND NOT ONLY HOAX!" Yep, probably something (less) like that. I understand that feeling, it was me a while back ago when I wanted to buy the Beijing concert's ticket. This is a feeling that can only be experienced by a true fan (hahaha claiming my self a true fan huh?). I let my sister decide and handled all the ticketing process but I told her that I want have a center seat. We decided to buy the Gold Center ticket. The ticket price is starting from IDR750,000 to IDR3,000,000. It is not a cheap price. We all know that. Again, as I mentioned somewhere in my earlier post, love needs sacrifice. For me, buying Jay Chou's concert ticket costs a lot of money.

To cut the story short, finally it's October 12th 2013 already. The venue was at Ancol, Mata Elang International Stadium. Though the ticket says the show starts at 7p.m., but my friend, as a true Indonesian we all know being fashionably late is a common thing in our daily lives, so 7.45 p.m. was the time the show started. I had to admit that even though I said that I wasn't that excited anymore to watch the concert, once the show was about to start, my heart was racing. Suddenly I felt like I am a teenager again (well I am still one *age denial*). When Jay finally showed up on the stage, some people went crazy (me! me!), while some people were just chilling and stay cool on their seats. Myself, I stood up in front of my seat. I got excited watching my idol performing in front of me with a super awesome effects (the venue and effects are waaaay better than the Beijing one). And there it is... just when I stood up in front of my seat, a lot of people behind me (I'm not saying one, it's more than five aunties) asked me to sit down because they said I was blocking their view. They probably didn't now that there are two giant screens in front of them. So I was like, okay, maybe I get too excited, I calmed down a little bit. I sat down, tried to enjoy the show and pleased those aunties behind me.
How come you get so calm when Jay Chou is singing in front of you?

Then the show continued, I had an idea in my mind that the concert's song list would be the same with the Beijing concert but I was wrong! On Jakarta concert, Jay sang a lot of different songs with the one in Beijing. Yippie! I was so happy since I the songs were more familiar to my ears too hohoho. The "Rooftop" skit was not being performed during the show, instead he performed a lot of his older songs. Then as of course I got more and more excited during the show, I stood up in front of my seat and started to sing along during the show. Then suddenly I felt a pat on my back, another auntie told me to sit down again. This time, I told her to suck it up! *sigh* I wish I had that courage. Instead, I gave her my best smile and told her to stand up and enjoy it like I did. Ever since I don't care anymore, I stand up whenever I want to. Come on aunties, this isn't a cinema -_-'

Overall I enjoyed Jay's concert in Jakarta, though I think that his voice wasn't at his best, maybe he ate too many gorengan the other night after rehearsal- just kidding everyone, don't take it seriously. He tried his best to engage the audience during the show, interact with the audience, but sadly (this is the part where I complain *again*)  most of the audience didn't connect with him back. I said before that I'm not Jay's #1 fan,  but between Gold center audience, I think I'm his #1 fans comparing myself with others who just sat down and looked like they only know less than ten Jay Chou's song out of 30 songs he performed that night. Most of the audience didn't even stand up even on the last song :( You paid some great amount of money, to be entertained, but you don't seem to enjoyed it. Why aunties and uncles? why?
My salute goes to the audience from the left and right wing side, they are the real Jay fans, their energy was positive during the whole show.

Anyway, despite the complaints I wrote above, overall my sister and I were happy yippie!!! Thank you so much for coming and making your fans' dreams of watching you live came true. We couldn't be any happier seeing you performing live on stage. We are proud to have a hardworking (and hard abs) idol like you, Mr. Jay :) We are certain that this won't be the last time seeing you performing live. We have our faith!

The Happy Girl,

Beijing or Jakarta: 爱你没差- Love you, no matter what (PART 1)

The post title is based on a Jay Chou's song "爱你没差" ai ni mei cha which means "Love you, no matter what" in English. It's a song on Jay's latest album "Opus" and it is a conclusion of what I had in my mind and my heart (hahaha) regarding Jay Chou- especially his Opus World Tour 2013 concerts (yes, concerts with 's', plural).

First of all, I would like to declare that I like Jay Chou. As I may have mentioned about him in some post way back since the first time I started to blog, but I never consider myself as his #1 fan. I am far faraway from that. To be honest, I like him more when I first started to learn Mandarin (around 10 years ago) and listening to his music/ song lyrics helps me to improve my Mandarin (believe it or not). Around ten until three years ago, my sister -she's the one who usually buy stuff, I only use them for free-  still buy the original cassettes (please don't tell me you don't know what this stuff is) and the original CD's, also some of Jay's VCD concert. Then things changed, our priorities change, I'm not really up to date with Jay's latest works, about his movie career especially, but in music wise, I still know that he's having a new album coming up, and so on.

Part One: BEIJING

Then something magical (HAHA) happened during my stay around March 2013 in Beijing. I received an SMS about Jay Chou's concert in Beijing, and somehow my heart skipped a beat, one because I know it's about Jay Chou's concert in Beijing and second because I'm not really sure on the details about SMS because of my limited Mandarin skill (boo hoo!). There's only one thing I know for sure: I WANT TO GO TO THE CONCERT!!!! Hahaha.. excuse my excessive use of caps lock there, but if it was a movie, you can say that my heart was full with explosion and fireworks back then. I couldn't even had a good night sleep for few days because I haven't bought the concert ticket yet. When finally I had the ticket in my hand, it was a joyful moment and my sister can only jealously imagining that she'd able to watch to concert with me. I really believe back then that Jay will never be able to had a concert in Jakarta, that's why I didn't mind when I have to watch this concert alone, it's a price I am willing to pay (and the ticket price too). I bought the RMB 780 ticket price on the left wing stage, and I have to say that it is not a cheap price ticket (the cheapest was, but as we already know.. love needs sacrifice.

On Sunday, May 26th 2013, the long waited day finally arrived. One day before the show, I watched the Shanghai Opus World Tour uploaded on youku.com (China's Youtube) from fancam so I had a little bit of image on my mind on how's the concert gonna be like - since I believe that I need to catch up with a lot of Jay's newer song. I took 地铁/ subway to reach the stadium, and just when I exited the subway, it pedestrians were full with people who sold Jay-related accessories and souvenirs for the concerts dominated with pink color. My heart beats even faster when I reached the gate of 首都体育馆, but surprisingly, there are no signage or a poster to indicate that there will be a Jay Chou's concert in it. If I hadn't seen the merchants who sold the accessories earlier, I might have think that I've gotten into the wrong place.
Then when I finally enter the stadium, there was not many seats filled yet since it was one and half hour before the show. It was really hot when the show haven't started yet, but luckily later on the AC was working properly as soon as the crowd started to show up one by one. The person sitting next to me was also coming early and he was watching by himself too, so I didn't feel that lonely waiting for one and half hour. He even asked me to keep watch of his belongings while he went to the restroom. This boy definitely didn't remember his mama's advice to not to talk to any strangers, let alone to let a stranger to keeping eye on your belongings *tsk tsk*. How lucky he is to meet an honest Jay fans like me.

Anyway, after one and half hour waiting, the seats inside the stadium were slowly occupied. Fans were starting to light the pink light stick given at each of our seats. The lights were being dimmed off so you can see the sea of pink light stick and you can already feel the excitement and anticipation of the crowd. Then the long waited moment happened, precisely at 07.30 p.m. the white curtains that covers the stage finally dropped down. That moment, everyone went crazy (HAHA), the screams are everywhere and I had no hesitation to join the fun. And there he was, Jay Chou, at the stage, singing live in front of me (and thousands other people) with his six pack -this is very important detail. Luckyly that day, I borrowed my teacher's binocular (my LaoShi likes to watch Beijing Opera with it) and it is very very useful to be able to see Jay Chou (his six pack - now I sounded like a perverted lady hahaha)  clearly. I have to admit that my seat isn't the best seat to see the whole stage so I depended a lot on the screen and binocular.

View from my seat on the opening song. Didn't bring along a proper camera that time, only Blackberry

Although I've watched the concert on the internet a night before, the excitement and the feelings were totally different, especially when you were standing with a crowd who shared the same (and even more) excitement than what you had. The fans were continuously singing, cheering and screaming during the show. I have no idea on how can they have that much energy to do that for two consecutive hours, but it was a very fun night, everyone had fun, everyone responded positively to the concert and what Jay asked us to do. In short it was a fantastic moment for me personally, not only because I get to see my idol, but also because I was able to shared the excitement and I didn't feel like I was alone watching the concert, those other thousand strangers were my best friends for the night. My favorite song for the night gotta be: 哪里都是你- it stuck in my head for weeks after the concert。
The best video I had on my blackberry (please excuse the shaky hands haha)

In short, I'm a happy girl that night, probably the happiest girl for the weekend at my school because they said I looked super happy on Monday after watching Jay Chou's concert. Hahaha. Some might say that it's a bit exaggerated, but I did feel awesome for the whole week :p
I even thought that watching Jay Chou's concert was the highlight of my life in Beijing, going to the Great Wall or eating Beijing Roast Duck can't be compared to the feelings I had back then. *smiling ear to ear*

*this post will continue on Part 2: JAKARTA :)

Link - 10 Things Every Girl Should Know That School Won't Teach You

I would like to share a link from Michelle Phan's blog, here's the link.

For those of you who doesn't know who she is, you're only one click away to know about her. Google will give a better explanation about her than me. But in short that she started with uploading make up tutorials on YouTube and now she's a business woman, thanks to the internet (and of course she works hard for it). I admire her passion and dedication to what she's doing and she seems to really enjoy it. She loves to share it with the world, and I am inspired by her. She's around my age and I can see that she's really doing a really great job on her career. I follow her Instagram account and waiting each week for her new videos on YouTube, though most of the time I only watched the video and felt mesmerized by her make up skill (oh so envy). It seems like doing make up for her is like breathing for me, so natural, effortless and easy. While me? I'm still struggling to draw an even line for my eyeliner everyday haha (but I keep getting better!).

Anyway what I shared on the top of this post is an article she wrote about life and the lessons that you get by going through it. I believe that writing those type of article is harder than doing a make up tutorial video. It's something that you can write by experiencing it, going through it and always trying to find something positive on no matter hard life's gonna give you. She wrote it in a non-whiny way and making it an inspiration to many of her fans. So thank you Michelle for the article.

I think that most of her viewers/ subscribers are younger than my age (25+ ahem), so she write the article specially for younger girls, but I believe that once in a while, a little reminder for us (men and women) will give us some refreshment of what's in life for us. For me personally, I think that the point that most of the time I forgot because of my routines and daily chorus is Appreciate the little things. Sometimes I tend to focus on the troubles and worries of my life, not knowing when to stop and just enjoy the situations around me. It's like: count your blessings everyday- trust me, you will feel very grateful on the little things that you have.

So cheers to everything that we have not learned from school, but we'll survived through it in real life anyway. Just like the article said - We are stronger than we know!

Great days ahead for us!

Estetikasisasi*

Sebut saja namanya kwetiau A. Lalu dibelakang huruf A ada -kang-nya (lah ketauan dong namanya cyiiin).

This world doesn't evolve around me gitu loh. Walhasil saya makan dulu lah. Sambil menjauhkan diri dari hape selama makan. I think it's a bad habit to continue checking your cellphone during dinner time - and I admit that I need to stop that bad habit.

Kalo istilah dandan, pake blush on di seluruh muka instead of pipi doang.

Promosi gratis. Tul ga?

*Estetikasisasi: this word is not exist in real world.

Home

Yea yeah.. Currently I'm being a fan of Christina Perri. I haven't heard the whole song of her album, but some of her singles really catch my attention. Her song "Arms" keeps playing over and over again in my head. You should listen to the lyrics below:

I googled and I somewhat find that the song is about :

Perri described the song in depth, stating "'Arms' is about the fight between your heart and your mind. Your heart wants to be loved but your head is always telling you reasons not to be with him or her, or how you are not worth the love. It's about the struggle and finally giving in when you're wrapped in their arms. Then you get it. Then you feel loved and love wins. - Wikipedia (hahaha)

She might be writing the song in the context of boy and girl relationship. But for me, the part on the lyrics when she sings : "You put me in your arms and I am home" giving me a sense of warmth that this song can be used for a broader context. "Home" is the main idea in here (for me), not "arms". It's the longing feeling of being home no matter what is you're situation right now. There will always be a place or a person that you can call "home"

Just like today, when I saw riding on a crowded bus. I saw a teenage daughter (around 14 y.o.) accidentally met her dad who just got back from work. The daughter said "hey dad" to her father and sat next to an empty seat beside him. I can see the father was tired, but I couldn't help to noticed a little twinkle on his face when he accidentally met his daughter. Feels like he found home on his way back already. Somehow I on my head the song "Arms" started to play as a back sound. Unpredictably sweet moment. Can't wait for my turn to back to my own home :)

young, frustrated and getting rich!

Have you heard a song called “Someone Like You” sung by a British singer named Adele? Please don’t tell me you haven’t heard it, I’ll sing it for you if you said no (so it’s wiser if you say you heard it before). Even my mom knows her, and the fact that my mom knows that she just won six Grammys kinda gives me a little shocker.

So I assume that everyone knows her, or at least heard once of that song. The story about how she ended of the relationship with her ex-boyfriend. You heard it, so you know it. Even though you may never experienced what Adele had, but by listening to she song, you can feel her pain and sadness through it.

I think it’s amazing on how someone can share her/his feeling to millions of people by a song and somehow making us a little frustrated too. Sometimes I wish I could channel frustration like her. I would end up being a millionaire and a Grammy winner.

Another thing I would like to point out is on how young she were when she’s recording the album, just like the title, 21. She was born on 5 May 1988 and she’s making me feel very old and unproductive right now. I used to think that I’m still young then I watch TV and internet and know that most of the popular artists right now are younger than me. Thanks for the reminder guys. Hahaha.

Okay, enough said about me. I would like to close this rambling note by showing a video by Christina Perri called “Jar of Hearts”. She may not as phenomenal as Adele, but I think she also has a similar quality in channeling her thought and feeling into this song. But please do not listen to this kind of sad songs too often. It’s not that healthy I think :p

Talk to you later!

2NE1 - LONELY [HD]

I'm not a k-pop fan. But somehow when I randomly watched this video on youtube, the word lyrics "lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely" keeps playing in my head.
Maybe it's just because I'm so lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely this past weeks :D

I put the english translation below. Cause if I put the korean lyrics, you guys wouldn't understand it too rite? haha

The words I'm saying right now, I don't know if they'll hurt you
They'll probably make you hate me forever
You, saying that I'm not the same as I used to be, is not completely untrue
This changed me is a stranger to myself as well
You are so kind but
That's the way you are but oh
I don't know I don't know
Why I am like this
We were so in love, and you're here now but oh
I don't know
I want to find myself now

Baby I'm sorry, even when I'm with you, I'm Lonely
I must be lacking when it comes to love, please forgive this person horrible person I am
I'm sorry, this is your and my story
I must not be worthy of this thing called love, even though I'm by your side
Baby I'm so lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely
Baby I'm so lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely
Baby I'm so lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely
Baby I'm so lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely

You didn't do anything wrong, I'm the strange one
It seems I've already been prepared long ago, for our breakup
I really wanted to treat you well, out of all the times, why is it when I'm confronted by love
I am shrinking away & am lonely endlessly

Cuz I'm just another girl
This night is lonely, I
Can't take any more, Good bye
Cuz I'm just another girl
I'm so lonely
Even though I'm by your side right now
Baby I'm so lonely
Lonely lonely lonely lonely
Baby I'm so lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely
Baby I'm so lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely
Baby I'm so lonely lonely lonely

Moulin Rouge - Come What May

The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

That is the most memorable quote from the movie Moulin Rouge. I can't believe that it's actually almost a decade after this movie was relesead in 2001 that I first watched this movie.
I think this movie is superb. An amazing love story. Here are the reasons why I like this movie:

1. It's a way better version of Romeo-Juliet love story.
I think the Leo DeCaprio and Claire Danes' Romeo + Juliet love story is stupid. They make life seems priceless with the "you die I die" thing

2. It's musical.
Haha... It's no secret that I'm a fan of anything musical :p Also the cinematography, the colour, the costumes, the montage created gives amazing feeling to the movie.

3. Amazing actors.
Great performances by the actors makes you feel the joy, pain and love at each scenes of the film.

Also I choose some of memorable lines from the movies:

Satine: I don't need you anymore! All my life you made believe I was only worth what someone would pay for me! But Christian loves me. He loves me! He loves me, Harold. And that is worth everything! We're going away from you, away from the Duke, away from the Moulin Rouge!

and yet another one

Zidler: Send Christian away.
Satine: He will fight for me.
Zidler: Unless he believes that you don't love him.
Satine: What?
Zidler: You're a great actress, Satine. Make him believe that you don't love him.
Satine: No!
Zidler: Use your talent to save him! Hurt him, Satine. Hurt him to save him. There is no other way. The show must go on. We are creatures of the underworld. We can't afford to love.

Oh love is such a complicated thing isn't it? But as complicated as it portrayed on the movie, I still a hundred percent agree that "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return".
